Acting U.S. Attorney David Estes for the Southern District of Georgia says 45-year-old Antonio Acosta, of Berkeley, California, was sentenced to 10 years in prison and three years of supervised release after pleading guilty to two counts of Interstate and Foreign Travel or Transportation in Aid of Racketeering Enterprises. He was indicted back in February 2014 on federal drug trafficking charges following a two-year investigation by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team (CNT). Jesse Jackson, 36, and Ashley White, 31, were taken into custody on multiple drug charges, according to the Sheriff’s Office. On May 27, detectives in Crandon spotted a vehicle that had been stolen out of Ashland County. The suspects were believed to be armed and in possession of drugs. TAMPA, Fla. – – Jared Collins (27, Wesley Chapel) has pleaded guilty to distributing fentanyl to an individual, resulting in that individual’s death. He faces a minimum mandatory sentence of 20 years, and up to life, in federal prison. A sentencing hearing has not yet been scheduled. According to the plea agreement, on December 16, 2019, Collins distributed narcotics to an individual in Wesley Chapel who injected the narcotics and then died. Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, remains in breast milk for up to six weeks and may be harmful to infants, a new study warns. LIBERTY, Texas – A tip led to the largest drug bust in Liberty County Tuesday, the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office said. Law enforcement officials said they confiscated nearly 100 kilos of meth, which is about 220 pounds. The amount has a street value of more than $500,000. VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A man has been arrested after he picked up a FedEx package containing 258 grams of cocaine that had been delivered to a home in Deltona, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office. WISE COUNTY, Texas — A woman in Decatur was arrested after authorities said she was aware that her husband was allegedly manufacturing drugs out of their home.
